I have always enjoyed maths and have loved the challenge associated with maths but before I started maths with Judy I was lacking confidence. I didn’t get encouragement from school but after my first class with Judy I gained assurance. I have been going to Judy for four years and over the course of that time she taught me to enjoy maths and work through the challenge. She supported me academically and personally throughout all secondary school struggles. My grades improved throughout my time with Judy and I believed in my own abilities more. I would like to pursue a career with maths in the future because of the reassurance Judy has given me in my abilities. Judy is an exceptional maths teacher. Before starting maths grinds with Judy, I wasn't totally confident with maths in school. Consistently doing state exam questions with Judy, my confidence in maths significantly changed and I felt that I could tackle and make a good attempt at any maths question that was put in front of me.

My son attended Judy’s maths classes weekly in 5th and 6th year. He found these extra sessions with his peers invaluable. I did these maths grinds throughout sixth year, Judy’s grind sessions really helped understand the topics taught in school in more detail through the use of past exam questions. Before I started, there were topics I really struggled with, but everything was explained by Judy in a way that actually made sense. The use of past exam questions allowed me to understand how topics appeared in the actual Leaving Cert. Her summary sheet notes helped condense topics and highlighted the important parts of chapters also. The grinds not only helped me with my understanding of maths but also my confidence. I found the maths grinds very helpful - I was quite far behind in maths in 5th year, but the weekly grinds got me back on track. I also got to see Judy go through difficult questions, breaking them down into simple steps. She was very good at explaining and was able to answer any questions I had.
